We were busy recording drums, basstracks & guitars during the last 10 weeks. We'll take a little rest and will enjoy the holiday season with our families, just to be back in 2012 with new energy to finish our new album.

The band proudly welcomes Gabriele Schira on our drums seat! Gabriele Schira was one of the very first drummers to play with Ivo Bernasconi in the 80s.
We are reworking the tracks ready for our third album.

To take a break from the work on the new album, we decided to do a live show! We'll be playing at the "Progressive Sounds from Under the Ashes" on Friday April 9, 2010 in Chiasso (Southern Switzerland) at Murrayfields Pub.

Just a short update on our new album production: we are working on a new VERY long track. It clocks arount 30 minutes.

Both the albums Pravritti (2001) and Surrender (2006) can now be purchased on the net as digital downloads: Apple iTunes Store and amazon.com online shop already host Zenit' albums. Many other online stores and shops will follow within the next 2 months.

December 2006
Zenit started working on the 3rd album. No project title yet! the first three songs are being rehearsed.
October 2006:
- The album Surrender has been nominated for the best foregn album and for the best art work for the Progawards 2006!
- Andy's surgery on September 12th went well. Doctors expect full recovery by mid of November.
September 2006:
Unfortunately we have to cancel our show at Montreux Prog Nights (http://mpn.bleublog.ch) on October 7, because of severe injury of our bass player Andy Thommen.
We wish Andy a fast recovery and would like to let all the fans know that we will be back with Andy as soon as possible. Sign our guestbook at www.fragile.net.

February 19th 2006: a 7+ minutes hi-quality mp3 medley of the whole album is available for download!
February 18th 2006: the whole band will be at the Progfactory shop in Losone (Switzerland) for the official launch of Surrender. Everyone is welcome: free entrance, drinks and appetizers!  Time frame: 16:30-18:30.
February 3, 2006: Andy's wife Kiki gave birth to their third child: Thomas Axel arrived around 14:43!
January 2006: the album is in the factory and this site has received a new look
January 2006: the artwork for the album is ready. Sandor Kwiatkovsky made the graphics, Raffaello Ossola did the paintings.

2005:
December 2005: the album has been mastered at Powerplay Studios in Maur, Switzerland
November 2005: the album "Surrender" has been successfully mixed by Etienne Bron and sounds great! Have alook at some studio pictures.
July 2005: last week of October/first week of November have been scheduled for the mixing of the new album. Etienne Bron who also mixed the first 3 albums of Clepsydra will be the eingineer.
August 2005: Gigio Pedruzzi's wife gave birth to the third baby girl "Lia" on August 9 congratulations!.

2004:
October 2004: the band spent the whole spring/summer recording the new album "Surrender".

2003:
December 2003: over 100 pictures from the ProgSol concert are available. Divided in two pages: the pictures & the videocam files. Have fun browsing all the material
October 2003: After the appearance at ProgSol, Zenit are now focused on the production of the second album "Surrender".
August 2003: Zenit has started the recordings for the second album. Different tracks from the new album will be performed at ProgSol festival in October.
April 2003: Zenit is going to play live this year as well! On Friday 17 October 2003, the band will be performing at Progsol, The Swiss Progressive Rock Festival in Solothurn.

January/March 2003: Frank Di Sessa leaves the band and has been replaced by Luigi Biamino. Frank informed us last autumn that, the large distance, playing in too many bands and becoming a brand new father was forcing him to make choices.

2002:

December 2001: the whole site is available in Italian. The language can be choosen from the entry page. Two more MP3 downloads (1 full song) have been added to the sound download page.
November 2001: Zenit will be guest on Swiss television (TSI) on Sunday December 16. "Compagnia Bella", the Sunday aftrenoon show will host Zenit the whole afternoon.
September 2001: The release concert has been scheduled in Ascona (Switzerland) on November 10, at Teatro Del Gatto (ex Teatro Varieté); support act: Suinda (Irish folk). Read more about it on the concerts page.
July 2001: More reviews have been added to the press-info page. Italian radio station "Radio Studio Star" made a 30-minutes special on Zenit on Sunday July 29. Lorenzo Sonognini & Ivo Bernasconi were interviewed in the studio while Andy Thommen was "online" via mobile phone.
